Overview

Full Tilt is in my opinion the best poker room online.  The initial deposit bonus is great with a 100% up to $600 offer and player friendly clearing conditions.  The promotions are awesome with a lot of value for players and lots of fun and new events to take part in.  The traffic is second only to PokerStars, but Full Tilt has a wider range of stakes at most limits which makes Full Tilt great for all players.  The software is sleek and runs great and the support team is always eager to answer your questions and ensure you have a pleasant Full Tilt Poker experience.

Initial Deposit Bonus

Full Tilt offers a pretty standard initial deposit bonus of 100% up to $600 with the use of Full Tilt referral code “THEFULLTILT”.  Your bonus is initially placed in your pending bonus account, but is quickly converted to real money in increments of either $20 or 10% of your total bonus.  To clear the bonus you must earn FTP’s which can be earned in tournaments or cash games.  In tourneys you earn 7 FTP’s for every $1 you pay in fees and in cash games you earn 1 FTP for every $1 that is raked (partial points are awarded).  Each point is worth $0.06 towards your bonus and you are given 120 days to clear as much of your bonus as you can.

Promotions

Some of the great ongoing promotions run by Full Tilt include the Iron Man Challenge, the Doubles Jackpots, Happy Hour and the Big Sunday Tourneys.  The Iron Man Challenge is basically a loyalty program that awards consistent play through exclusive freerolls and free merchandise.  The doubles are jackpots that you can try for 3 times a day by playing in two multi-table tournaments simultaneously (if you do well in both you win a portion of the jackpot).  Happy hour is great because you can earn double FTP’s during specific hours during the day and finally the Sunday tournaments are perfect for winning a huge chunk of change.  For example every Sunday a $750K guaranteed tournament is held.

Full Tilt also runs many other promotions for limited times such as the big FTOPS series, the Take 2 Full Tilt point promotion and sit and go madness.  The take 2 promotion awards double Full Tilt points if you play on 2 or more tables simultaneously and the sit and go madness promotion makes for a crazy weekend of mass sit and go play.

Traffic

Full Tilt Poker has the second most traffic in online poker, next to only PokerStars.  The cash game traffic is great and there are a wide variety of stakes between $0.01/$0.02 and $1000/$2000.  This is great because it means players can start at the small stakes at FT and work their way up to the big times where they can play Full Tilt pros such as Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen and more.

The tournaments at Full Tilt are also great.  You will always be able to find a tourney to your liking whether it’s multi-table or sit and go.  A great promotion for the tourneys is if you knock a Full Tilt pro out of a tournament with 30 players or more you win your buy-in back up to $200.

Competition

The competition at Full Tilt is pretty average.  There are just so many different playing styles at Full Tilt that it is hard to pinpoint a style or a skill level.  You will be able to find fish, but there will also be many sharks.
