Full Tilt Poker Red Pro Roland de Wolfe Wins WSOP Event #27

Full Tilt Poker has added another gold bracelet to their teams collection now that Roland de Wolfe has captured his first WSOP gold bracelet.  De Wolfe won event #27 of this 2009 World Series of Poker, which was the $5K buy-in Pot Limit Omaha 8 or Better event.  De Wolfe took home $246,616 for his victory.

Surprisingly enough de Wolfe admitted that he had probably played less than an hour of Pot Limit Omaha 8 or better in his life, claiming that he had played both Pot Limit Omaha and limit 8 or better, so by combining the two he was able to have a successful tournament.

De Wolfe was three handed with fellow Full Tilt poker pro Scott Clements and eventual second place finisher Brett Richey.  De Wolfe and Richey got all of the money in after a flop of (10c, 8c, 4d).  De Wolfe showed (Ad, Qc, 8d, 4h) for two pair and Richey showed (Qd, Js, 10h, 9h) for one pair and an open ended straight draw.  The turn and river were no help for Richey and de Wolfe was able to walk away with the $246,616 first place prize.

There is sure to be some more bracelets for Full Tilt pro’s in the final events of this World Series so keep your eyes peeled.  In the meantime you can download Full Tilt Poker and get in on the action or watch the pro’s do their thing.
